Black and white cat heart necklace

This necklace is made from a recycled piece of white porcelain. The image, printed with firing-resistant pigments, is applied to the porcelain and then fired in a pottery kiln: the pigments fuse with the enamel, making the image durable and inseparable from the porcelain. 

The image has a slightly matte finish, due to a lower temperature firing.

The porcelain is then shaped by hand before being set in a pendant combining fine silver 999 and sterling silver 925. The pendant is designed with an open back that is not visible when worn.
