Black and white teacup cat collar

This necklace is made from a piece of white porcelain waste. The image, printed with pigments suitable for firing, is applied to the porcelain and then fired in a potter's kiln: the pigments melt into the glaze, making the image durable and inseparable from the porcelain.
The porcelain is then shaped by hand before being set in a pendant combining fine silver 999 and sterling silver 925. The pendant is designed with an open back that is not visible when worn.
