Red bow cat collar

This necklace is made from a scrap of white porcelain. The image, printed with pigments suitable for firing, is applied to the porcelain and then fired in a potter's kiln: the pigments meld with the enamel, making the image durable and inseparable from the porcelain. 

The image has a slightly matte finish, due to being fired at a lower temperature.

The porcelain is then shaped by hand before being set in a pendant combining 999 fine silver and 925 sterling silver. The pendant is designed with an open back that is not visible when worn.
