Cat collar

This necklace is made from a scrap of white porcelain. The image, printed with pigments suitable for firing, is applied to the porcelain then fired in a potter's kiln: the pigments melt into the enamel, making the image durable and inseparable from the porcelain. The image has a slightly matte appearance, due to firing at a lower temperature.
The porcelain is then shaped by hand before being set in a pendant combining fine silver 999 and sterling silver 925. The pendant is designed with an open back that is not visible when worn.
